The Hikvision DS-7208HQHI-K2/P is a hybrid PoC recorder. The monitoring system based on this type of device can combine analog and network (IP) camera technology. The hybrid recorder is especially useful in places where there is already an analog monitoring system (coaxial cables - BNC connector), which is to be additionally enriched with IP cameras. The DS-7208HQHI-K2/P has the ability to connect up to 10 cameras (analog + IP), 8 of which are intended for analog cameras with the possibility of power supply via the recorder - Hikvision PoC - Power over Coaxial.

PoC, or Power over Coax (coaxial cabling) technology, utilizes a single coaxial cable to transmit both data and power between front-end cameras and back-end video recorders (DVRs), as opposed to using one cable to send power to a camera and another one to transmit data back to recording units.
